Automate Capacity Audit Report

This would help to get the submission of CRQ’s or Jira’s automatically which will reduce the man hours which is invested in the task for submission of the following things

• Orphaned EBS volumes

• EC2 idle instances

• Conversion of volumes from GP2 to GP3

• Idle VM’s

Also, the project involves, creation of CRQ’s or Jira’s for increase or decrease of the following:

1] Worker Node Increase – If end-to-end automation Jenkins pipeline is present then we are implementing it for increasing the worker nodes for Public Clouds (i.e., AWS, OCI, GCP).

2] Disk Expansion – This involves adding or expanding of the disk space on DB servers for PGDB or other internal severs used by teams.

3] Instance Increase – This is related to increase in the instance type in Public Clouds or Colo which is requested by teams to increase the resources (i.e., CPU, Memory).

The project also helps to auto-calculate the cost related to the CI’s which will be increased or decreased on weekly basis. It further involves other things which is documented in the confluence page.
